Snagged this one from my local Jackson/Charvel dealer. When I picked her up off the wall, she was in desperate need of a setup. The neck had a serious forward bow (the strings were easily an inch off the fretboard at the 12th fret) and the frets were just plain nasty feeling and looking. Also, the fretboard was incredibly dry. I talked the manager down quite a bit and scored some free strings as well.
After stripping it down and cleaning everything up, I restrung it with .009-.042 Slinky's and set the intonation. Now it's an absolute monster. This guitar has the lowest action and slinkiest feel of any guitar I've ever owned, including my custom shop Charvel's. Even with the low action, the sustain is very impressive and I'm quite pleased with the tone of this guitar.
Anyway, enough talk: time for the pr0nz!
And yes: this guitar has sat on that wall at the dealer since it was born in '07.
Merry Christmas to me!
