  • Tentacle-free Seafoam Porn

I snagged this baby last year, and finally got it cleaned up and set up. It didn't really need much. It is an '88 seafoam green strat with a J90C/J100/J100 pups. There was some drama with the JT6 so I put a spare OFR on there. The stringlock works well, so I'll leave that. The condition on it is superb, it's probably one of my cleanest strats.

    Wait for it....

holy shit, seafoam has ever looked that sexy to me on anything. out of curiosity, are you thinking of keeping on/in the jackson tuners and pups?

Thanks! Yeah other than the OFR I'll keep it all original. The J90C sounds killer in it. I have some other Jackson Strats that I swap pickups in. This baby even has the case candy.

The one shot really shows the massive slab of rosewood. No crappy Fender rosewood veneer board here!

What was the drama with the JT6? Stripped holes?

That rosewood is probably my least favorite type and color, but it looks fine with the seafoam. I have that stuff on my 1963 SG Special, so there's a chance you might have Brazillian, and I also have it on my 2002 LP Std, so there's also a chance that you have crap

The stuff I like is darker with veins of red like on my 1988 USA Jackson or really dark waxy stuff like on my 2004 R0 (looks like ebony).

I have great looking rosewood on my 1996 Les Paul Classic Premium Plus, but the way it was cut the grain ends are all exposed on the fretbboard, and it's like playing on sandpaper. I need to burnish down the fretboard.

All six of the JT6 style lock blocks were missing, the arm coupling was completely buggered up, and when I tried to hammer it out a corner of the base plate snapped off. So, part of it was self-induced. These are very soft, and at the same time somehow brittle?? I don't even have any spare JT6 arms from Budman, so I punted on it. There is nothing like an original OFR.
