  • 1986 Jackson Star

Here's my latest purchase - thanks Mark! I've wanted a San Dimas era neckthru Star since 2002 and finally was able to score one. During that time I've only ever seen two pop-up that were not owned by Chris Holmes - this one and an earlier eagle graphic star. There are more out there somewhere but these are as rare as it gets.

This is serial J1875. If anyone has more info on the background do let me know. I've followed its moves since it was at Neals Music in 2003. I recall a JCF member (Damnation Angel?) once telling how he had a similar one but without headstock binding but I can't find the pic he posted anywhere.

    Here's some pics...

Now that's a nice star. Love the binding over the fret ends. Awesome.

Beautiful guitar!!! I can only find two flaws.

It's a Kahler and not a Floyd. also, no locking nut. But still beautiful guitar! How does it play? sound? I still want a white one with bloodsplatter!

Make that zero flaws. It's a fixed bridge Kahler.
