Actually they have all tuned down to E flat since the Adrenalize days. Even tuned half a step down 13's are thick though!

In all honesty? Probably yes! Phil had said years ago that they would get off the stage and the whole bands voices would be burning and on fire so it was a naturally step to tune down. Many bands do it both live and in the studio these days.

13's can easily be adjusted to even tuned down 1/2 a step. I have been using 13-56 for years and just love the heavy tone and attack. Add to that the fact that you pretty much NEVER break a string! LOL!
