I always compared the Jackson Warrior to a Lamborghini, both look super sharp and edgy, super fast, sleek, and both growl like a beast. However the Warrior Extreme is more like a Batman mobile, it's simply over the top!

Still don't have it!!! The last I heard it was proving "challenging to buff" and needed to go back to paint. You guys will absolutely know when it arrives.

EDIT: Looking back I forgot to tell you that it failed inspection and had to be rebuilt. So those pics above are in the wood chipper. The "new" one is still causing problems so we'll see.

Better to wait and have it right rather than them just throw it out the door however it goes!

Actually, it's been rebuilt....twice. I don't feel like I really know why either time. They actually didn't tell me what was going on the first time. I just got two different sets of progress pics and you could tell the second set was a different guitar than the first. Then, those black and white pics above were taken by Misha Mansoor when he was touring the shop and I was sure I would have it soon. But, Jackson contacted my dealer and said that there was some finish issue that couldn't be fixed. Who knows, maybe they dropped it. I know Misha didn't steal it because I'm a lefty

                      So, here I wait.

Not the first time I've read of J/C CS paint issues. I distinctly remember 5 CS Warriors (all standard WR1's, some with reversed headstocks) whereby the paint simply fell off like they weren't painted thus sealed at the edges on at least 1 or 2 of them. IIRC, it was 2008. I hope they get yours right for you.

I bought one of Pablo's extreme guitars last year. The buffing inside the sharp recesses had gone right through the clear coat and through the paint to bare wood. I returned it. I've been told that it's quite a common problem unfortunately. If this was the problem with yours, at least they caught it before it went out the door.

Yeah, in the end I just want it done right and I definitely made sure they were aware of that. Didn't realize that this was an issue in the past with these so I was giving them shit like, "come on, guys, it's not like you've never done an extreme warrior before" haha. However, they did say it was challenging and I do think they are trying not to pass off a bunch of flaws.

I guess the idea is to try and keep the paint coats as light as possible. Too much paint can deaden the sound of a guitar. I had an Ibanez RG which was just a muddy mess regardless of pickup/amp. I stripped it to refinish it, didn't get round to finishing it. Then one day, I bolted it back together just to play it as is and was amazed at how different it was. That was the reasoning told to me anyway.
