  • Almost brand new KV-2 @ local shop for $999.

    It said "BUY ME".

So I did. Someone bought it, played it once and stuck it somewhere, brought it to the shop and it sat for like a year at $1399. The price was reduced about a week before I saw it to $999. Came with hard case, but no tag.

Overall, it's nearly brand new... no headstock tip ding, but the back of both wing tips have the chip, the front does not. Frets have zero wear, no pick or polish swirl that I can see either. Very babied.

I don't like the medium frets. I want my old custom KV back. /madface

If I do get it back, I'll be offering this one for the price I paid + shipping.

Oh, almost forgot... the reason for the crappy picture was to show the hotel bedspread.

WTS: Weird looking hotel bedspread, PM me offers.

Since when does a KV2 have medium frets??

i thought they always had medium frets, i.e. based on a KV1, but with a floyd instead

They always have. Dave Mustaine had the medium frets on his KV1 models, and Jackson just carried them over on the KV2.

Strange, the current specs say "jumbo frets".

Crafted with the demands of the discernible player in mind, Jackson guitars give you the shapes, finishes and tones you love. From the venerable Rhoads, Soloist, Warrior and more, shop Jackson for the highest performance.

Yeah, the website has always been wrong. It also states the Mark Morton model has jumbo frets and a Schaller 456 bridge, but it's got medium frets and the TOM/stoptail.

Thanks, at that price I just couldn't pass it up, in the condition it is in. I figured it was beat or had a cracked neck/headstock or some other major issue. The only issue it had is that nobody in their right mind saw it before I did. KV-1/2 always had skinny medium frets or whatever they're called. I hate them. :<

My custom KV had jumbo frets. God I miss her. The guy who I bought it from and sold it back to won't sell it back to me just yet. But he will, just not now.

Fuck that man, just go get that one refretted with some 6100 stainless steel frets and play it 'til the wood rots away from under your fingers.

Good score! Thats the downfall of my KV2, those damn medium frets. Once I get some free time, Im gonna refret it with Jumbos.

Oh, I will. He just needs to be in a mood to sell it. And of course, if I buy it I can only sell it back to him. We have an agreement. lol
