Sorry to hear that - I'm a long way away, but I regularly search Craigslists US wide so I'll keep an eye open..

Beautiful guitar. I hope you get it back. Maybe this should be a sticky?

That sucks. I've been there and done that. Someone stole my few weeks old $750 guitar in 1990 on Thanksgiving night. It must have been an inside job because it was in my trunk. They busted a window and went through the back seats (a Mazda 626). This was in Ana-slime.

What part of So Cal? Maybe it was the same fuckers?

That's terrible. Thieving fucks. Are the cops doing anything? Around here you're about wasting your time reporting home burglaries.

"Cops doing anything", well we will see, i don't want to sound negative but it seems all cops are good for are writing traffic tickets, when it comes to real crime they are usless.....they told me all the pawn shops report there intake inventory to them.....yea right...how would they police that unless they took inventory themselves, and i'm sure all the pawn shops are are on the up and up. Despite that i called most of the local shops anyway to report what was stolen and they all said the same thing, "we report all our inventory to the local police".....anyway the guitar is very specific, if it surfaces i hope some here will catch wind of it. I would love to find it on craigslist, call the asswipe and meet him to take my guitar and beat him.....

Set a ebay search to notify you if any key words pop up abd all pawn buys are reported electronically when they make a ticket. Normally. But also notify guitar stores abd thrift shops within a 100 mile radius.

I deal in the pawn biz too. And from my experience anything stolen in a certain town usually ends up in another town nearby.

Sorry to hear about this. Hope this info helps.

                        That sucks!
I can relate our rehearsal space was robbed a few months ago and they took 9 gutars and basses!
Unbelieveably the cops found all but one. All at pawn shops. I had my Dinky taken and it was found. A little worse off then when it left but happy to have it returned. Cops know who pawned them, he is native american and fled to the reservation so there hands are tied. Good luck man I hope you find it. Karma will get that P.O.S. I'll keep an eye out here in AZ for ya.

That really sucks, Jon! I remember when you got that beauty. Was that the only one done in gunmetal blue?
I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.

thanks brother, it was the only one done in gun metal blue, i think there were 4 total done but someone said there were 5....so who knows.

i did call a few pawn shops in 25 or so mile radius and they all said they report all inventory to the police...i really hope someone spots it...

Back in 2008 my house was broken into and they took my only Jackson and a watch I never wore - within 1 week the guys were caught and they told the cops where they sold the guitar ( a local music store). The detectives went to the store and got the run around so they told me to go there and ID and call them if I saw it there. I went to the store and sure enough it was on the wall - 30 minutes later the detective came and made the store give it to me on the spot.

Long story short - it's probably been sold to a local store coz the crook just wants the cash. I would take a trip thru every local store but don't tell the store owners what you are looking for coz if they bought it they won't get a penny to give it back to you.
