Any idea what this model is? I'm trying to get more info on it, and what it might be worth, so I don't over pay.

This might be a stupid question, but how to you tell if a bolt on is actually a USA, and not the victom of a neck swap?

It's a mid 90's DK1 with a nasty added pickup route. Great guitars but that route kills the value.

I assume you say it's routed because it's missing wood between the two singles?

He said he swapped the original "korean" floyd out with a real one, and it was a drop in replacement. There shouldn't be any routing in the floyd, but who knows?

Yup. I have no idea why that would have been done though, because I can't think of any pickup that would fit in that gap.

The original bridge on that would have been an OFR, so if it had a korean floyd in it, that was put in after it left the factory.

If you are looking for a project and could get it cheap enough, you could fix the pickup route and repair the body and it would not be a bad guitar. I would not pay more than $250 for it since it will need quite a bit of work.

It'd probably be easier to just get a new body, rather than filling that hole, veneering the top and then refinishing..

yeah, he's asking $650, but he was under the impression that it is some rare HSS USA Jackson. He's being pretty cool about all the questions, but he wants to know from Jackson according to the serial number.

It's not rare. $650 would be a good price if it didn't have that route, but that's way high for the current condition.
