As stated in the title I've had my ferrari red w/ black bevels KE2 since 2005 and it has the square input jack but I recently bought a new old stock KE2 made in 2008 that has the oval jack. I have no problem with that. Just pure curiosity

Swap the jack plates and see if the square one hangs over the sides of the bevel.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I'm wondering if maybe the one with the oval plate was cut a bit thinner, or maybe the bevels were deeper, so that the square one wouldn't fit within the confines of the flat part of the edge of the body, making it necessary to use the more narrow oval shape.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I measured the flat side of the body and it is exactly the same.
