I got this one out of the shop after being in and out of the closet for a couple of years. I never could quite get it dialed in and get the ass tone out. This latest round of repairs and mods did the trick. There was an obstruction keeping the truss rod from being adjustable which was resolved, the neck was finally adjusted, and a fresh JT6 went on. I went with a Duncan Custom pup and EMG Afterburner, which is really a smokin' combo in the guitar. This baby has appeared in a few group shots and Tech Q&A threads, but I though she deserved to get out in the sun today for a proper photoshoot of her own.

The mini-switch is the on-on-on variety which gives me the series/coil tap/parallel sounds. I must say the parallel tone is amazing. It is full and hum-cancelling like the series mode, but has an open slightly stratty tone to it. The Afterburner always puts out a low-impedance signal, even when disengaged. This gives it that quasi-active clear tone, sort of like you get with the JE1200._________________________________________________

Thanks for the complements. I just use a mid-level Sony Cyber-Shot camera, but I have some nice backdrops to work with near my pool and plenty of natural sunlight. I've got one or two more to get out of the shop, then I'll work on that group shot. This one does have a huge slab of ebony for a fingerboard. It is so impressive that it changed my preferences over time (I used to be a "Neck Binding Snob")._________________________________________________
