At first glance it seems to be kinda standard, then you look at the specs and the guitar really looks great. Very cool. Nothing in the world like ordering a CS guitar and having it come in.Congrats

Maybe. Though, I do seem to remember a comparison of a couple old Dave Mustaine Vs that did have thinner headstocks at one point...

Might also be an illusion given that the frontal shots aren't straight-on with the board, so the head tilts away, but rather on the same angle as the headstock, so it looks longer and thus thinner.
For the back shots, the oversized Sperzel housings also make the head look more narrow.

There's also the fisheye effect of the camera lens.


But then, for all we know, maybe it really is a smidge more narrow.
Measuring would tell the tale, but it'd be anal IMO

Beautiful axe! The only thing that could have made that guitar any cooler is if they had angled the end of the fretboard to match the angle of the single coil!

Oh and there def is a slight difference in headstocks... Ive noticed the PRO's all have slightly smaller headstocks than those of today... I can try to take some measurements if anyone is really interested.

I'm a huge fan of: black&white, HS-config, Koa, oiled necks, recessed floyds...
Not sure about the scallop, but I'm sure I wouldn't hesitate giving it a try.
