I'm running twin emg 71s with an afterburner in my jskv but I'm tiring of the flat emg sound, but I'm quite enjoying the sd invaders iv got in my old ke3r - any suggestions?

@ Hellbat - thanks for the info! Im listening to a few vids of them at the moment, i think this may be what im looking for - kind of a balance between the crunch of the invaders but a bit more manageable or tame i guess
Cant wait to pick the V up now! This will be my first USA Jackson so Its a bit of a big day! Do they handle differently to the japan models much? obviously the through neck construction will make a big difference to the sustain and tone but what should i expect?
And does anyone have experience of the Screaming Daemon pick up?

@ Racer X - Really? I dare say this it what I feared! Its hard to tell from sound clips what pick ups feel like, are DiMarzio worth a look? Iv worked on a few axes with bare knuckles, but they all seemed far too bottom heavy and bouncy, i was after that ninja sound!
*thanks for your advice! i live surrounded by a world of dubstep... man i need to move... bring back the metal!

Ha ha, irritatingly the gentleman im purchasing it from is at work at the moment... that was my first question! but a photo shall have to suffice for now!
It was purchased second hand five years ago, so should therefore be 2005 at the latest... *should he says!

                  As promised!
Right, the serial is not on the 25th "fret" as expected, where am I likely to locate this rather vital number..... im not actually home with the axe yet, but will try and get the serial up on here for your generic interest as soon as possible!
and for the record, im thoroughly sold on USA jacksons - MIJ just isn't even close! finally see what iv been missing out on all these years!

And of course a big thankyou for all your support!

                  yup, grin is now permanent!

FR tremlo aftermarket fitted, with tremel-no, tripple shots , full shred in neck and screaming daemon in bridge, black pinstriping, mother of pearl inlays and jax logo, sperzel tuners aftermarket fitted too... all anodized alu plates, looks a damn sight older than 2005 mind...

Thankyou! definately glad to finally be here! the gap between MIJ and USA has now become VERY clear...

Hunting for a serial number but isnt anything under back plate except a sticker with what appears to be alberto completed or similar
couldnt find anything on the fretboard, which although has clearly been refretted, doesent appear to have anything on?

                        Any ideas appreciated!

Ha ha! youd have to find me first! I even said to the guy when I bought it hed made my year! dont think he quite knew what he had... although at this point im not entirely sure I do...
Loving the triple shots, although the kill button is a bit one trick pony, the over all feel is awesome, and the full shred is a far underrated pick up - the screaming daemon has already been sold to be replaced, possibly by another full shred or maybe just an invader....

Still stumped on a serial number for dating this - unless its under the pick ups or under the sticker in the spring bay, or was removed when it was refretted, but thats a tad extreme....surely?

If the fretboard was levelled when it was refretted that could cause the loss of the stamped serial numbers. You could try and do a paper rubbing with a pencil lightly over the area and it might bring something out CSI style. It's unlikely on a neckthrough for the serial to be anywhere else. such as trem route or pickup/electronic cavities.
