    Hi Jackson Guitar Guru’s!

I need some help figuring out what I have so I can properly list the item for sale..

Any help to find it’s origin/value would be greatly appreciated..

I have what I consider to be a “Dinky” Style, 80’s Era, String Through the Body, Bolt On.. Help!

Specs: Light Weight Body – Poplar?

    Light Cherry Sunburst finish

Bolt on Jackson Made in USA neck, dot inlays.. Natural Oil finish on back

Strings Through the Body – Tune-O-Matic style bridge..

    Gold Hardware

Jackson J-50N Pickup in Neck, Dimarzio FRED in Bridge..

One volume knob only – 5 way pickup selector switch..

Neck Plate has serial #6609 San Dimas

Neck has two numbers scratched out #3468 and XXX? #3793 is hand written clean..

Body has #3793 and a circled N hand written, with a stamp of someone’s name I can’t make out? Also what appears to be 3-27-87 or 88 hand written..

Inside electronics cavity appears to have hand written 6/3/80.??

This guitar is overall in pretty nice shape.. a few minor dings and bruises..

I hate to sell it but have been getting pounded with the economic downturn (tailspin) we’re in.. I have owned this guitar since approx 1990.. I will miss her!

I have photos available if anyone needs to see for reference, just email me at cnorris3 at yahoo..

    Thanks for your help!!

    Chris..

1988 USA Dinky, made in Ontario using a leftover San Dimas plate. There's a similar looking one (although archtop) in the '88 brochure: http://audiozone.dk/guitargallery/?c...1988Page10.jpg

As for value, if you're throwing it on eBay, just go no reserve and start low

    Oh, and welcome.

The opening post constitutes a Classified Ad IMO. There's more info in it than is necessary for the purposes of identification (i.e. "so I can properly list it for sale", the notes about the condition, and the comment about "have to sell due to the economy").

Thanks guys, I'm new to this whole thing - faced with having to sell a whole mess of my prized collection of guitars, so go easy on me.. I'm just trying to get an accurate description of my mystery Jackson so I know what I have before I let it go for $500 if it's possibly worth $1500.. That's all..
