  • Double NGD: Jackson Custom Shop w/ brazilian rosewood top & ebony neck + Death Kelly

These are not mine actually, but a friend of mine's a die hard Jackson Custom Shop collector, and these were too good to not be posted.

If you wanna see his complete Jackson collection, check this thread I've posted here a while ago http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/115...n-Lots-of-pics!

Let's start with one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen, touched and played. Talk about mojo in spades on this one:

    -brazilian rosewood top
    -brazilian rosewood fingerboard
-ebony neck thru (gets progressively thinner across the body)
    -mahogany body
    -koa Jackson logo
-gold hardware with tune-o-matic, volume, 3way switch and Gotoh tuners

The level of detail and craftmanship is seriously among the bests I've seen in my life, the wood species are superb and the sound is so punchy and bright with tons of attack, almost bolt on-ish. I'd die to have a guitar like this, it's perfection imho.

After all this awesomeness, there's one more, it's a very Metal looking (but still very classy) Custom Shop Death Kelly. Specs are typical by Jackson:

    -alder body
    -maple neck thru
    -ebony fb
    -Seymour Duncan Blackouts 18v
    -OFR

    Hope you enjoyed these beauties

Yup, that soloist is a special guitar. You tell your friend if he ever hurts her, he will have to answer to me!

There is so much good looking wood in these photos, even of the hardwood floor, haha!

That first guitar is such an unusual an uncommon choice of woods but it turned out so beautiful. This might be the first ebony neck I've seen. What pickups are in that one?

The fretboard inlay on the Death Kelly, what is that? It's gorgeous, as well as the rest of that guitar of course... as an owner of all-black guitars, I love this.

About the pickups, neither me or the owner know about that...I'm guessing classic JB + 59 combo.

The logo is a project named Eklipse that my friend is working on and features many guests (Reb Beach, Marty Friedman, Kiko Loureiro, Felipe Andreoli,...), hopefully will see the light soon.

Both amazing but that Soloist is something very special indeed.
