Nope. The WR-1 has the "speed" neck profile which is thinner and flatter than the standard soloist neck profile. I've never played the speed neck myself, but it's a well documented fact that it is in fact thinner and flatter than the neck that comes on an American Soloist.

So I love my soloist neck. And getting a wr1 shouldn't be a major Change, maybe will like it better. What dOse the rr1 have?

Yep the WR1 has a wonderful neck. Mine is oiled unfinished. One of the best neck ever.
Its not a million miles away from a Soloist so it not like it will be a shock going from one to the other but there are subtle differences.
I love both and go from one to the other with no problems.
All men play on 10. Never gonna turn down again.

Question guys, when they say "oiled" and "unfinished" are they essentially the same thing? Or is unfinished completely bare wood, curious. I have a DK2 neck that is super sweet, I took a 0000 piece of steel wool and that thing is like silk. I'm ordering a custom shop and may want to go with a bare maple neck, just want to know how I should order it, meaning how I fill out the spec sheet.

Did the same with a 3dr of mine that had some spots that I could feel while playing it drove me crazy. In my case I took 1000 grit sandpaper to it didn't go all the way down to the wood just euff the get it silky with the help of some lemon oil. But I am Talking about neck feels, my sl1 was killer rr1 was to fat just hope i didnd let go of a keeper

Yeah my neck on my DK2 (I actually have that neck on a KVX10 body) it's a killer guitar, the neck is perfect, so smooth - makes such a huge difference.

I guess I'll find out for myself when I land a Soloist myself.
