Go for the SL2h, I love the shape so much and the V seems a little small for me. Rather get a Rhoades tbh.

That's a beautiful kelly man. I was going to say get the sl2h and throw some bkp warpigs in it with the extra cash but this seems like a nice route too. Pretty good price on it too man, congratsLast edited by TKEblue; 09-23-2011, 07:59 PM.I'm going to give you the keys to the Lamborghini

Yeah, might have to wait a couple more months after the Kelly to get the Soloist if thats what I end up doing. Dont know yet whether theyll ding me for the store to store shipping or not. They probably will. That and the case might leave me a couple hundred short on an SL2H. Im halfway considering an 80s Soloist, they dont have sharkies, but they seem to keep popping up around the $900 range.HTTP 404 - Signature Not Found

I voted to the KV2 before I realized it was a BGF one. Those are the ugliest ones IMO... but I am not buying it, so I don't need to like it. That said, now I would vote for the SL2H."I would have banned you for taking part in hijacking and derailing a thread when you could have started your own thread about your own topic." - Unknown

Like I said in PM, I'm glad it turned out to be a PRO and I'm glad you contacted them. I would hate to see it get passed up when it's exactly what you were looking for. I had a feeling that the lighting/flash was just blowing out the paint and making the fretboard look very light, almost like rosewood.
Good luck with it and can't wait for the NGD post!

A week ago I would have said KV2 hands down, but I just got an SL2H and hold shit man, it's the bees knees! Black of course as is my KV2. I wondered why the difference in fret feel. I just though the SL2's were worn down a bit, but now I see that they are difference fret sizes? Who knew? I just play'em? Thanks guys for the info. I will pay more attention when I get home n play. I know that the SL2H sounds good as hell, but the KV2 look is KILLER! NOthing beats a black Kv2 on stage!

If a Floyd is not mandatory, try a KV2T. I've had a couple of KVs (Mustaine Pro and KV2), and a few Gibby's (80's Kahlered, non-Kahlered, 2 Faded), a KV3, KVX10D BGF (with and without the 3x3 Dinky neck swap), the JCF Vs, an RR1, PCS Rhoads, USA and import Roswells, the import Y2KV, and really thought the only V I'd ever really get along with is my Vantage FV-575, but once I got a KV2T, I found "my" V.
Great frets, great balance, great neck. Needs a Floyd thoughI want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
