What pickups are in your USA Jacksons?

My RR1 is sporting the JB and a Super3
For some, the JB works, for me it had to go, too flabby in the lows, too thin in the highs
the Super3 gave me exactly what it said on the tin, it tightened up the bottom end, and gave the upper frequencies some much needed meat
Already had a Charvel SD2 reissue that came standard with it, but while the koa Charvel grinds like a chainsaw (in a good way), the RR1 hits more like a hammer

Sl-1 - JB-Bkp Trilogy Suite x2 at the moment. Possibly swapping the JB with Custom boosted with a large ceramic magnet. Or I'll b put the magnet into b the JB

I'm happy to see so many people have changed from stock to get a better sound!

I'm Happy with:

Magogany/maple cap Dinky: DiMarzio X2N, ToneZone
Alder Soloist: DiMarzio PAF Pro, HS3

The Soloist has a lower output PAF Pro and it has more character, but a real comparison would need to use the same guitar.

My other Jackon Soloists all have the stock JB and '59, all of those will be changed!
Considering DiMarzio Super 3, Crunch Lab, Super Distortion, D-Activatior, and others (I have a DiMarzio connection)
I've said it before - my opinion - the most popular yet worst pickups in the world (JB/59) is by accident (or by design - installed as stock equipment).
Changing your JB will release more potential in your Jackson.

It's simply the EMG 85 placed in the bridge position

My '96 Soloist came with a pair of Kent Armstrongs.
It was kinda dark and lifeless sounding...swapped a Duncan distortion in the bridge, and it helped...slightly.

That guitar hung on the wall for 15 years...
Needing another player I swapped a Dimarzio X2N in the bridge and a Dimarzio Super Distortion2 in the neck.

It sounds great now, but back on the wall...it needs a re-fret job, badly.

Two DK-1s and a Custom Shop Stealth 7 - all with Bare Knuckle Juggernauts. I also have them in a bunch of other guitars. I used EMG 89s for 20 years before that, but I'm blown away by that pickup - medium output, very musical and pleasant when clean, vicious rhythm tones and sweet lead tones, in any pickup position. Tapping them to singles is really usable too.
