I too dig 'em. Missed the boat on a low-priced Pro model years ago. Regret it ever since.
I'd be into a limited run if others were too. Perhaps we could get the "original" PC shape but with the current PC-1 electronics? Hum-Sustainer config?_______________________

It was a lot more than just the airbrushing because the headstock had a (fixed) break which needed work, then it needed a full respray, then a graphic. But Mike's prices are very reasonable...Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

I'll find and post pics of mine, it's an '89 Erie Dess. They were originally USA made but had "PC" serial numbers as in Phil Collen, not Player's Choice. Fabulously built guitars. I bought mine from Neil's for $1000, sold it for $2200, bought it back again for $1500! Not selling now though, these are harder to find than diamonds!"Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
Gotta get away from here.

I haven't seen a USA Collen for sale in a long time, and only a couple Pros in recent years. The Collen is generally considered to be the rarest of the Pro series. A friend of mine ("Noodles" here at the JCF) had a 29-fret Collen prototype for awhile. It was a weird beast with a Kahler and so much paint on it that it dulled the sound really badly. I believe it had been painted over multiple times to search for the right finish that Phil wanted. I was tempted when my friend sold it, but it's really more of a conversation piece than a usable guitar unless you stripped off the zillion layers of finish.
