Just in case somebody's tempted: don't deal with promusictools. They're a bunch of douches. They tried to fuck me over on a Jackson that was damaged during shipping.
Promusictools are no good? Thanks for the warning. I have been tempted to buy a secondhand ESP Jake E Lee from them before (they seem to get some some cool second hand gear in, such as this Kelly) but will give them a wide berth if the guitars are shipped in pieces!

Well PMT is nor good or bad but just weird... . Their prices range are realy weird : scond hands guitars are more expensive than new ones. Some "oldies" and rare stuff are just over quoted (a esp MIII USA for 2500euros, more than 3000$, I'm selling one for half price...) and they sell used stuff/stuff with scratch for "new" or "like new" condition (by exemple their Jackson gold strat with a 10cm scrach on the front body that they are selling for "near perfect stuff")...

My friend ordered a Soloist custom shop from them and it arrived safe and sound.

No, they are no good. I ordered a Soloist from them. It showed up with a pair of vertical cracks in the clear coat. I contacted them and they told me to contact UPS - but first they mocked me over what they call minor damage (see below), which was clearly ridiculous since it was bound to hurt the resale value. I told them that I would gladly send it back to them if they would send me the other Soloist they had on the homepage - if the damage was indeed so insignificant, then they should have no problem with that, right? Anyways, UPS came and picked up the guitar for inspection. Then PMT tells me I should have kept the guitar. I tell them that by UPS rules, they pick it up for inspection - otherwise there's no refund. Then PMT starts accusing me of scamming them even though they have my money and, in principle also the guitar. The UPS website then showed over the next few weeks, that they had tried to contact PMT to settle the matter more than 20 times, but each time PMT refused. UPS told me that PMT had been granted the full insurance for the damage. The email responses I get from them get more and more rude. I tried to explain to them, that UPS will not talk to me - the sender has the contract with them, not the receiver. At this point I was starting to find a German lawyer to settle the matter. Only after I threatened with prospect of dealing with my lawyer in the future, they agreed to send me the other Soloist (i.e., I didn't even get the refund). Fuck them.

Passing stuff off as something it's not is not good or bad? I think it's more evidence that they run a shady operation. What a bunch of assholes. Both guitars I had in my hands from them were like new, even though they were claimed to be used. I think they're not an authorized dealer, but they somehow manage to import these. It all smells fishy to me.
Promusictool is a shop who buys from ebay cheaply and sells at a double or even triple price. I will never buy anything from them!!
I am a bit puzzled how exactly that can work out. Their prices are still below what you have to pay for new Jacksons in Europe with legit, authorized dealers.

Since i always watch ebay.de, I know that they've bought lots of guitar for about 800 euro range and sell them for 1500 or even 2000+ Euros! As for the price of jackson, yes, their price is lower, because their guitar is used guitar in >good condition. They just throw a 1 year guaranty and mark the guitar as NEW.

I see. So, we're talking guitars that already are in Europe?
Yes, for example, the blue pre-fender PC1 they bought from ebay.de for 1040 euros now is offered for about 1600 euros. They've sold a bernie rico sinner for more than 2000 euros, which they bought from ebay.de only for about 800 euros.
