Can I install a Kahler 3310 fixed bridge on my OFR equipped KE2???
I perhaps remember reading that it could theorically be done as 3310's are simply flat mounted, but I cannot remember if it's big enough to cover the Floyd route.
Regardless of that, as you said, there is a huge possibility the neck angle WILL be an issue as the Kahler is not recessed and will make the strings sit too high off the neck. I'd say include the fact that you would then have a useless hole in the body, the Floyd route - not that it's anymore useful when you have a blocked Floyd like I do, but you know...
Im pretty sure that you will have problems doing this, unless you recess the kahler, as the kahler rollers sit as bout as high as a TOM bridge, which is higher than a recessed floyd rose.
From memory when you install a kahler on a strat, you need to shim the neck to angle it backwards to account for the kahler being higher than a strat bridge
Sell the KE2 and get a KE1 if that's what you want IMO.

Looking at Kahler's history, I for one. will never buy a guitar equipped with one
This has nothing to do with resale value, but with repairvalue
a few years back, parts were getting scarce already and if it wasn't for the economic recession, they wouldn't have restarted the production
and would be quite content getting money from just golfclubs
With that in the back of my mind I would think twice about getting one of their trems

The OFR actually makes for a nice fixed bridge if you block it. Just throwin' that out there.

It will cost me a lot more, since I live in a second world country. I will probably recess the kahler and refinish the hole guitar, the OFR will go to my Charvel model 6.
