I'd just put a Tremol-No on there and lock it down permanently. You can get one for around $50 new or $30-$35 used. Yes, blocking is cheaper, but the Tremol-No is easy to setup and blocks in both directions. And it's totally reversible. And you could go back to using the trem again if desired. Plus, you get the tuning stability, fine tuners, and comfort of a Floyd.
