I called Sam Ash and tell them I want an RR1t in snow white/ black pins. They dont have any in stock and would call Fender about it. I then called guitar center and they told me the same and they would call me back.
Well, they both call me back and tell me the same thing, that Jackson doesn't make them in white w/black pins anymore, if I want it in that finish, it would be considered a custom color.
Yet, they said the regular RR1 in that finish would be $2550, yet the RR1T in the finish would be $2950!!!
wtf that doesn't make sense. I told them to call Fender back and tell them, why does the RR1t cost 400 more than the RR1 if they both have the same custom finish. They told them the RR1t costs more money because it takes more work to do.
So you are telling me, a guitar with a Floyd Rose with lots of routing, costs 400 dollars less than the same guitar with a simple Tune O Matic and no routing for a trem?
Update: The real reason its 400 dollars more is that the white w/ black pins isn't a standard finish on the RR1Ts anymore, but they still offer the finish.
So RR1= $2549 RR1T= $2949
