Couple New RR's come home with me.

So From my Trip to Cali which ill do another thread later for everyone to read I got to get a few RR's and couple that ill be picking up later.

One of these is VERY special and the other is a project i picked up at Mottobur's house that i though would be very good to learn with and hes holding a nice RR for me for later on down the road. Its freakin sweet..

It was a damn blast in cali but heres what i picked up..

RR1700 Project. Pretty beat up and well played. but should make a great project and Refin.









And now saving the best for last.. This thing is CLEAN for an 83. it only has one long fin ding and barely any surface scratches.

Here we have 1983 RR custom serial number RR0025. Thats right. One amazing peice. It has a solid 3 pc neck. no scarf. and has more sustain than anything i own. It screams MOJO. i am VERY lucky to have it.

but you noticed that huh. yeah i was told the first 50 or so got the strap pin there. which does throw off the balance. but this wont be leaving the jam room. I have a feeling this Rhoads will age like wine!

THe RR1700 is sure beat up..but once im done. Its going to be a awesome Rhoads.

Not sure if the line showing is actually the wing trying to come unglued. but we will see once i sand it down.

I kind of like the strap pin there, sometimes when I start hitting the wheedly deedly notes, my thumb will whack in to the ones on my RR's. I've been puzzling how to do some sort or recessed strap lock for the very reason. I love my Schaller strap locks but they do kind of stick out like the Space Needle.

Use the dunlop recessed locks like on the y2k.and kv2t
