I found this several months ago and a great JCF member passed it on to me. Thanks again E.G.! Your the best, hope all is well.
It is said to be from Brad Kelley's collection and it has that sprayed on the outside of the case (Bradford Kelley) Ultimately someone here should be able to verify that........ not that I doubt it.
Serial # J 1802 San Dimas Kelly
I have not seen another with the toggle in the lower horn. I am hoping that some of you die hards out there can attest to it's rarer nature. I have never seen a pearl with red bevels either.
It plays like a dream with only 2 very minor cosmetic flaws. The original bridge J-50B was replaced with a S.D JB but I still have the original. The neck pickup is still the J-50N and Dunlop Strap Locks where added. The button on the upper horn was moved to the back during Brad's ownership. The Kahler is the best I have ever used. It is as easy as butter and the guitar stays in tune better than my other axes.
I have some other Kelly's but they simply do not play and or feel like this one does. There is truly something very special about this one indeed.
I wanted to share this one with you guys because I fell that it should be admired for the excellent San Dimas craftsmanship that it is. They just don't make them like this anymore! Enjoy
