I don't think that it's a Custom Shop. It's a 2002 and if I recall they did a few guitars around that era with some natural necks. It does not say "Custom Shop" on the headstock but I think, that when ordered, you could have that on the front, the back or not at all. Hopefully someone will chime in with a more definite answer.

As for the Blood Splatter finish I can not say one way or the other.

Well after a few days of blistering fingers she's a keeper! I can not get enough of this body style. It is such a natural fit for my right hand's angle. Some guitars I really have to be adjusting my hand until I find the sweet spot but not this puppy. She is perfect be it sitting or standing. Damn I only wish I would have jumped on one earlier!

It's a "U" serial # and that should mean it's not a Custom Shop I'm sure.
