Jackson SL2H with matching headstocks?

Looking at an SL2H with the following specs
- apparent trans red finish
- black hardware
- matching headstock.

I don't know how many SL2Hs came with matching headstocks though I do know that the SL2H-MAHQs had a trans red finish but they came with chrome hardware.

Here's a picture of it - does it look like an SL2H-MAH or is it just a normal SL2H?

Hard to tell without seeing a pic of the back, but I believe all standard and mahogany models with trans finishes had matching headstocks. They all had chrome hardware, too, unless they've recently changed to black.

I'm waiting for pics of the back however from what the seller said the guitar is from around 2005/06. The black hardware is what is throwing me off.

Yeah, Joe's correct. It's not a great pic, but my bet is that it's just a trans red SL2H with the chrome replaced with black.

Seeing as how my dealer said that a different color hardware can be had on a USA Select if you ask for it, like everyone else says it is probably a Sl2h trans red with black hardware

IIRC, they too had chrome hardware. I saw someone buy a used KV4, so I figured that applied to all the --4 range.

Idk it is something my dealer told me. From what he told me it was not too much of an up charge and they have been doing it for a while.

An SL4 would only have 22 frets, and no binding.

It's an SL2H with a veneer top and the owner said the hardware was always black but he's the second owner. I doubt it was swapped out too.

I have not seen that before(with the black hardware) mine came with chrome.

I'm probably the only idiot that doesn't like the body color headstocks, and prefers a black headstock, but that's a damned sweet axe.

It's an SL2H. My blue one has a matching headstock. They just swapped out the hardware. I also heard that for an upcharge you can get the factory to swap the hardware color for you but I'm sure if that's true.

Enjoy that! I was looking for a red one but didn't have any luck when I was in the market for it.
