You can cancel a certain number of bids because "my butt itches" every certain time period with no problem on Ebay last I checked, though obviously I forget the details. I think it is 2 every 6 months?

Anway you may not want to use your "get out of jail free" card unless you have to but I am almost certain that you can just be like "LOL I thought I was bidding 99 cents not 99 dollars LOL."

YEAH !!!! First time EVER that I'm happy being outbid!!!!
Some poor bastard outbid me today!!
I Tried emailing the seller 3 times to get better pictures of the neck, but he just won't respond. I smell bullshit.....
Thankfully I no longer have to go through the process of trying to cancel my bid. It's nothing like it used to be a few years ago, as it seems ebay's made it very, very difficult to retract a bid.

The ironic thing is it's probably a shill bid trying to get you to pay more...

I asked this exact same question when I bought my white SL2H three years ago, and I was told that the "Made In USA" is sometimes offset a bit. If there are no other suspicious things about it, I wouldn't sweat it.

The other issues besides it's possible authenticity, were the cracks in the fretboard and the dents on the back of the neck that he described in the auction, but had no pictures of, as well as what appears to be the finish lifting or the binding seperating on the top portion of the headstock. Without good clear pictures and no response in 3 days from the seller, I'm just glad to be outta there!

Lesson learned though, think real seriously before jumping the gun.......
