Inspire me! Post pics of your one-offs and rarities.
Thanks Neilli. I call it my 'eyesore'. Neck PU has been replaced with a red dimarzio (billy corbin model). Seems at the time only a white single-sized hum was available when this was built for the previous owner - whom I think was in an 80s tribute band.
And that skull KV is sick!!!!!

Ohh-cool, it looks like the side markers shown thru, are they cut in half via the scallop?
Yes they are...this is a factory scallop too...it was specified on the workorder.
I don't get the scallop thing, I never have. To me they play normally, you just have to make sure you don't fret/press any harder in your playing...other wise it feels normal to me...i see no benefit.

If you have big blubber fingers like Yngwie, they don't drag over the string onto the fingerboard.
Just kidding I love the maestro. I still have yet to play a scallopped fingerboard since wanting to in about 1982 or so hehe.

It solves the same problem as jumbo frets, for me. Those early skinny ass Fender frets... having the neck scalloped. Not much different than just going with jumbo frets.
And yeah, I've never seen that one and it sure is different. Nice score.

Concorde Prototype #3 (ordered by Randy) - sorry for the old/blurry pic...
You got this from Rob Lane didn't you? This was the one he got from Grover and had been used some how to make cases and never had hardware installed? If memory serves Rob got Shannon to set it up (There was a problem some how with the bridge which is why it hadn't been finished until then...?)
In the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil
One day sir, you and me are going to have a discussion. At the end of the discussion you will walk away with cash and I will walk away with that guitar.
Well, it's a replica. Apparently it's the last non authorised artist replica that will ever leave the custom shop. And to get this one done, I needed to get permission from the owners of the TMNT copyright...
Woah! That one is really a "one of kind"... Congratz!
