Hey guys, am currently finishing my order with my local dealer for cs warrior, but the other day he rang me up and asked whether I had considered getting it master built. I then said that I wasn't aware that Jackson did master build jobs for custom shop orders, but he was positive they did. Could anyone shine some light on this for me, I though only fender did master build jobs not Jackson?

Master build custom shop guitars

And my opinion on that is that there is a noticeable difference between a USA Production and a true Custom Shop guitar (see below). As for the Master Builders, I only have one (a Pablo Warrior Extreme) and there is not any noticeable difference in tone or playability to me with that than other Customs.
And when I say "noticeable difference" the quality is identical, but there is a certain tonality and playability that exists with a true Custom Shop Jackson that I don't see much in their standard USA Production guitars. Over the last 14 years of collecting, buying, selling and trading, I've only found a small handful of USA Productions that are on par with a genuine Custom Shop. With only 1 Master Build I can't really say, but there's not much difference in it and the Customs..."Got a crazy feeling I don't understand,
Gotta get away from here.
Feelin' like I shoulda kept my feet on the ground
Waitin' for the sun to appear..."

thanks guys, im assuming it would cost alot more and take alot longer to have one of these legendary builders like shannon or pablo build my guitar. its a cool thought though, having this one guy doing nearly everything on your dream guitar. il have to weigh up the options when the price and time confirmations come in. cheers.

I've never known this MB thing when i ordered my guitar half year ago. But after i finished the spec, i received my work order whose title has Mike shannon's name. Is this is a MB guitar or not??? :PLast edited by euronymous; 12-12-2011, 05:04 PM.

If you do get one masterbuilt (if that is even possible), I recommend getting it signed. Otherwise, if you have to sell it on the bay down the road, your listing won't start with "I was told..."_________________________________________________
