Anyway, Yes Jay Dee's are still around....check them out here:

I believe they ended up putting a Duncan in the Bridge position before it got shipped back.
Good info to know, thanks Kurt!

        heres one from that show

As promised...although a bit 'late' here's some pics of Vivian's GMP Pawn Shop....an AMAZING finish to see in person. I really hope to see him playing this on tour!!

Now that is a kick ass Les Paul style guitar. I might have to get a quote on one. I am sure I could get a killer customized GMP for less than the price of a used Gibson Les Paul Custom. Not to mention that that headstock really works for this body style.

Wow, this is a very cool thread. Thanks for posting pics of that historic Jackson "Les Paul" and that new GMP of Vivian's is amazing. I loved Vivian's playing in Dio, his live work with Whitesnake, and one of my favorite albums he played on was the 1990 Riverdogs debut.

Awesome pics Curt! Any reason for the locking nut being "above" the fretboard? String height issue or just a different style?

That's a Kahler nut... They fell out of fashion because, go figure, they don't work as well...

Awesome pics Kurt!, Dan and the the team did it again. I can imagine how deep that flake must look in person, and its got to be incredible. I swear they are making the finest instruments out there right now. Kim sent me the video of CC picking up his 2 V's and he looked like he was blown away. Before long GMP's will be showing up all over the place again. Man I got to get my next order in!

                                Atrociously gay. Sorry. :p

As long as it's what he wants, good for him. And it's nice that he's had his guitar re-done the way he wants. All that is cool. I just don't personally like it.
