Yep, I think I get it...opinions are like assholes...everybody has one.

    No crime there.

    Carry on.

Here is the guitar pictured with Viv from a 1980-something Guitar Magazine article, the one with Jeff Beck holding a pink Jackson Soloist etched by Tina Turner on the cover.

Not sure how this is going to show up so if it's too small to read the print, I'll try to re-scan the magazine so it's more legible.

Yep. It's amazing he got it back after all that time. That's the really cool part.

As long as it's what he wants, good for him. And it's nice that he's had his guitar re-done the way he wants. All that is cool. I just don't personally like it.
Had what redone? The glitter purple is his new GMP. The Jackson LP is still black, as far as I know.

Yeah, the Jackson LP remains as the pictures show in the first post of this thread...only a bridge pickup change was done.

Interesting... looking a the log book for J0006 and the line is completely blank.
Like the guitar doesn't officially exist.

Was very odd ... I had joined 1 year ago to the day so figured Id make a first post. Actually had a more active account here years ago but was on an old ISP email and had no access to it.

Yeah i always thought that was interesting too....Here's the first two pages (of around 30 total) of the 1983 Jackson 'Past Due' log which contains workorders and descriptions of guitars in progress. On the first page, I own 3 of the first six listed, I thought that was kinda neato The Reverse RR (RR0059), The Candy Red Rhoads (RR0051) and The Black Flying V (J0005) and on the second page Vivian's Les Paul is listed....and check out the date! 6-6 for J0006!!!

Yeah, that is a bad-ass pic! The history and stories in the threads on this forum are unparalleled and make it one of the coolest places on the net.
