I was expecting some sort of graphics/paint job. I read the thread title fast as "Ultra VIOLENT SL2H". Thinking I'd see some deadly evil imagery.

Hard to tell, but I don't see a Black Burst. I would think that is probably just Pavo Purple.

Congrats on the UVB SL2H. I was watching that one because my main stage Soloist I gig with is it's twin I play my UVB SL2H all the time. The pickups in mine have been swapped out for purple Dimarzios otherwise it looks like the one you just bought.

I hear you on some new colors. the ones they have now are old and unexciting. as for the gold hardware on the Chlorine..... when you see it in person, its a must.

I think they've been sticking with the same finishes to give one more reason for people to consider the CS.

Which would be fine and good, if you could get just a plain old stock model with a custom color for a reasonable upcharge and not have to wait 18-24 months for it.

Agreed, something needs to change with the management at the CS. A couple months ago when I bought my SL2H, I was originally going to commission a custom, always wanted one and I finally had the scratch. What I didn't have was the two years of waiting...

But back to the point of this thread, that ultra-violet is awesome! So are most the other soloists in here.. GASing hard.

I thought that the wait times were supposed to have drastically reduced a while back because of some change in managament????????
