    ^ this.

If you look at anything close enough, you're gonna find flaws. That's not just with guitars, this is a life lesson for you.

If Absinthe Frost has an upcharge compared to a 'standard' color I would call it a an 'issue'

I bought a dk2m orange bengal on ebay about a year ago and when I received it I thought it was brand new and everything about it seemed perfect, except for one day I noticed it had a crack in the clear coat. At first I thought it was a eyelash or a really small hair, so I tried to wipe it off. I was kind of pissed off, because everything about the guitar was perfect except for that crack.

So I know how you feel, even though I paid a lot less. If the guitar is sound, plays and looks perfect (except for the blemishes) I would keep it. With that said, it wouldn't hurt to contact Jackson and see if they can give you a small refund for the blemishes.

I gave Chris Holmes a call, and he didn't seem to think it was an issue.

The reason I asked Chris Holmes was because he's really the go-to guy when it comes to maintaining a guitar's finish. Also, he suffered some minor damage to his star on tour that reminded me of this. Here's a pic. The damage is sort of hard to see, so I added an arrow to it:

I'm a picky bitch, but even I have to say that those few specs....especially in a paint like AF wouldn't really set off my "return" trigger.

My advice though is not to accept any paint repair the dealer may offer you. Either live with it or return it and buy a different one. I actually had a paint flaw on a RR1 that a dealer convinced me to let him fix. After 6 months of back and forth, it only turned out worse than it started and ultimately the dealer took it back and I just got a different one. Should have just done that from the start and saved myself the hassle and aggravation.

Holy shit......It is paint man. It isn't electro plating. And to boot, it is Candy. You can hardly even plan on painting a 3 stage paint in an operation room at a hospital and not get some minor flaw. If you ask them to repaint it, you will more than likely find something with that xray vision. Personally, the guitar looks killer, those are miniscule at best.

Sorry for poking fun, man. I'm actually quite anal about my guitars. I mean I really have deep-seated issues. But this, this wouldn't bother me at all.

That stuff happens on metallic finishes. I would see if the selling dealer would take some money off, for those minor defects in the finish. If not, I would just keep it.
