    Sticker

I think the guy selling it runs a pawn shop, so I'd imagine the sticker on the horn is for inventory. I think I'm going to send the payment today. It's too beautiful to pass up over a little bit of money. With the 3/4" maple top alone, it's worth a bit to me. I just love the trans green!

Can someone tell me a respectable place to buy replacement knobs for this guitar that would match? I also will take your advice and switch the pickup rings to gold. I'd really appreciate suggestions on where to buy knobs that will match and quality pickup rings. It's hard to tell what is good on EBay.

The case is the original. My Trans Black SLATQH came in it. The guitar doesn't fit that great in it and if you have the guitar shipped there is a chance of headstock damage.
I am too lazy to search for old threads where people on the board got their SLATQs with damaged headstocks when they arrived. $1400-1600 price is about right.

They're just standard black painted brass knobs. http://www.stewmac.com/shop/Knobs/Do...Dome_Knob.html

The orginal knobs on the guitar are Q-parts , Mother of pearl Shell , http://www.qparts.com/index.php?cPath=20_21_64 . That is what is on my stock 2004 SLATQH .

Oh, crap. I was thinking STANDARD Jackson knobs.

Yeah, those Q-parts ones look correct.

                Thanks!

Thanks a lot, I placed the order for a pair of the gold domes with the mother of pearl! Any suggestions on where I can buy a nice pair of gold pickup rings that would match everything?

                    Trans green

Once I get this new baby, I will take a picture of the both of them. I want to take a picture of my current collection, but I don't have a room big enough to get them all in one shot. LOL

Awesome piece...I was also looking at this one. I contacted the guy and wanted to see if he would negotiate a bit on $. He wasn't really budging so I didn't let G.A.S get the best of me... Would love to see your collection. I posted mine on the JCF facebook page as a slideshow, but I don't think anyone looked at it... http://s273.photobucket.com/albums/j...view=slideshow

                        Seller

The seller definitely wasn't budging. I only purchased it because of my current collection and I'd have been kicking myself if I didn't. LOL. I might try to take a picture of all of my Jacksons and Charvels, but I don't have enough room to take a picture of my entire collection.

I got the knobs in yesterday and the guitar came today! One question I have, I can't find a serial number anywhere. I looked on the last fret and there's no serial number. Since it's a neck-through, where else could a serial number and why would this not have one?

Should be on the last fret, Any indication that the guitar has been refretted? this process sometimes results in the serial number being wiped out

Its also possible that it made it through its build and never got stamped. It has been known to happen before. Did you get the hang tag to verify the serial number? If so you can send it back to Jackson and they will stamp it for you, or, I have heard, they may even send the dies to an authorized local repair place. But if you don't have the hang tag I'm not sure where you go from there.

Holy Shit...that's a sick piece. Makes me regret not getting it. The quilt is beautiful. Yes, the Serial should be on the last fret. I'll have to dig some of my SlATQH's out of the closet, when I get the chance, to see if they all have Serial #'s on them.
