  • Surface Scratches on pre fender KV2 black/white bevels

How can i get rid of the surface scratches on my old kv2 usa select? What kind of paint did they use?

1500 or 2000 grit sandpaper to remove the scratches and then some light polishing compound and a buffer.
Don't be to aggressive with it. You can burn through the finish pretty quick if you're not careful.

The finish is a catalyzed polyurethane finish. Similar to what is used to paint cars.

Scratches won't come off of pre Fender models.

I've heard certain runs of Indonesian models also have this 'quirk'.

Pre Fender? Forget it. The paint was magically sealed with shaman prayers back then.
You wouldn't get scratches out of that if you sent it to NASA/The Vatican.

I have heard stories of Goetic spirits buffing out buckle rash on 90's Pro models.
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.
