Jb sounds to thin in my sl2 need a thick and heavey pickup??

I went with the x2n trust me if I wasn't on a budget I would have picked up the warping put hopefully the x2n will work I didn't get a f spaced because It didn't make since to me because it has no poles

The X2N is only available in one spacing, anyway. It's a great pup, let us know what you think. The JB is usually kind of lame when it's not in a mahogany guitar, IMO.

I thought about switching out my JB for a while. Then I tried it with a 300k tone instead of the 250 that it comes with and a 1M volume. Contrary to what people would say, it does not sound ice picky (the difference in 250 to 300 is barely noticeable and the volume pot didn't brighten the sound as much as give a tad more output). Brought out some crunch on the low end but kept the highs pretty smooth. I would recommend trying it. Pots are cheaper than pickups.

I have the Dimarzio Crunchlab/Liquifire set in another guitar. Very good pups as well.

True. For outright fatness its invincible. I had a C-Pig in an old lawsuit ESP Horizon and it was awesome.
All Bareknuckles are amazing, lets face it. Easily the best IMO.

It sounds like he likes EMGs, so I would also recommend the Miracle Man. Its like all the best bits of an EMG 81 and 85 with about 3 times more dynamic range.
You can actually play them clean without sounding like ass too.

Another pick up to consider is the Duncan Parrallel Axis. I believe this pick up was made for exactly what your stating, to fatten up a floyded guitar. I have never tried one, but they are supposedly great pick ups. The PATB-1 is a little less output, more medium I think while the PATB-2 is a ceramic high output beast. Just another option to consider.

My personal taste leans towards the Duncan Custom as I like the rhythm tones much better, especially for metal. It's lead tone is good, not great, and that's where the JB really shines. I've also made a couple of JB/Custom hybrids and those have been really cool. Recently, I've been toying with a Duncan Custom with an oversized ceramic (like from a Distortion, etc.) and that's a really fun pick up too.

I actually put a PATB-2 in my RR1T, and the poles line up perfectly. Surprisingly, the JB actually did sound decent in there, but I just wanted something with more output and beef.

Oh Hell Ya!!! I agree 1000% BUT if you have an amp like say a Diezel with a lot of low end you really have to back off the bass with this pickup. Really good for adding some low end to say a Marshall IMO........

I like it a lot, sounds great! The power is pretty much like an X2N, maybe just a little more low end, and there's no need to keep the gain cranked on the amp with how much output there is.

I am going to put an EVH Frankenstein in my new Charvel. To me it sounded very close to the Bareknuckle Holy Diver, either would be a good option. You might also consider a Bareknuckle Pain Killer it it has a nice round tone with a lot of punch.

Update: I just got my new Charvel and the JB is definitely getting replaced. The tone is ok needs to be fuller for me, and it doesn't have enough chug in the palm mutes. I don't know why they always come with a JB in the bridge.

I have JB's in most of my guitars (nothing mahoganey, I'm working on that) and I get good chug/ bottomend from all of them. I think it's as much to do with amp settings and effects settings aswell as the guitar.

I just change the vol pot to a 300k and use a 022 PIO cap.

I played with the settings on the Mark III today, and I did get quite a bit more chug from the JB. It sounds nice and thrashy now.
