  • So, I played a Chris Broderick Jackson...

... and Holy Shit Batman! It was one hell of a player. It was a tad bit on the dark side but that was my only gripe about it. It had a great neck (different than the normal soloist). The recessed knobs were cool, it had a killswitch, a trans black wooden binding around the fingerboard and the one I played had a trans-white top. If it didn't cost $3k I'd pick one up in a heartbeat.

I would love one of these, especially a 7-string version in trans red. What did the neck feel like?
It's all about the blues-rock chatter.

Love the overall specs, but the body silhouette and the controls kind of kill the look for me. But I'd love to try one, if any local stores ever actually get one...

Before you dismis one on the looks, go play one. It was a fantastic player.

The body looks much better when it's in action. I thought it looked really stupid at first, but it's kind of grown on me. After seeing Chris Broderick play it live I started to really "get" the shape.

Haven't played one but glad to see that SS frets are on them.

Lol if I recall from a few months back Dave went over to the Dean HQ possibly to design a few more models/finishes and "had a great time". I'd look for the posts but I no longer have a facebook.

But my point is, I think there's gonna be a few more years of Dave with a Dean.

I tried one at the Music Zoo last year, and it was awesome. I would like to have one one day. I just couldn't justify buying another guitar at that point and the dollar was a bit high.

The shape reminds me of the Suhr Modern.

It has already been mentioned but the Music Zoo is Roslyn had one the last time I was there...
