  • What is up with the florescent color's lately?

 I really dont go for these especially one a outstanding guitar like a jackson! the newer ibanez's yeah i can see that! but these?
http://www.themusiczoo.com/category/J2HV/Jackson-Custom-Shop-SL2H-V-Guitars/At the Music Zoo we like to think that "if it ain't broke, don't fix it." However...

I love the idea of moving the volume control= WIN!,non recessed floyd= WIN!,less wood cut for cavity=WIN!
Old school logo=WIN! crown head tuner=WIN! smaller headstock=WIN! oil finish instead of poly=WIN!

    Florescent pink,yellow,orange,green= FAIL! why jackson?
outside of maybe the green i just dont understand how anyone would go out there with a evil but classy looking jackson in one of those color's

Jackson did plenty of pinks and oranges and yellows and greens back in the day so it is apropos. I like them. They make that SL2H-V in (boring) oiled mahogany if that is your thing.

Jacksons have long been known for getting attention, both sonically and visually. If this is a throw back to an earlier time, you have to remember what was happening in Jackson's early days. The Rhoads body style, the flashy graphics, etc. So these colors are going with the theme. I think you're buying the wrong guitar if you get a Jackson to "blend into the background." But aren't they also offering these with flamed maple tops? There's one in the background in the video.

The louder the colours, the more I love them. I think the saddest thing in the world is a black guitar (unless you are wearing white and playing in front of a white stage set)
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

        I nearly broke her back

It's the 80's thing man, it's coming back!
For Me, during the early years of Jackson, they attracted my attention because of the bright colors and graphics. I had not even played one but I knew I wanted one. Always wanted a bright pink RR like Vinnie Vincent.
When I got a slime green Charvel I was disappointed. It is not bright enough! I thought it would be like my Ibanez LNG, not even close.
I always felt that during the 90's -2000 that all production type finishes were boring (pretty much like the music during this time). All companies seem to stop trying to offer outragous finishes or something new. I can appreciate a nice flame top, cherry sunburst but the florescent colors still get my attention....then again I am a child of the 80's and have never been thought of as having good taste.
No honey, I have always had this Jackson....

I like the bright, loud colors as well. The brighter and louder, the better

You are mad at the wrong people dude. Jackson built them how the dealer ordered them. If you hate them so much, aim the hate at Music Zoo.

I'm more bitter they only offer them with Floyds.

Old style soloist is a win those were the best playing ones IMO.
Love that they went as far as doing the smaller headstock.Give me old school any day.
Top mount Floyd yeah baby we got some comfy neck angle back.
                    The colors rock too.
A big win all the way around!!!
                    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I like the red, nothing else. Also I havn't seen many people clamoring over these or posting NGDs.

IMO, the SL2H is pretty much perfect.

I could not have said it better.

All my Jacksons are obnoxious, and that's why I love them.
