Cool story! If only 10 months was the delivery time now LOL

Awesome finish, I had a 22 fret Jackson neck through Tele with that same graphic, sold it off though. Killer Soloist!

Well, if you factor in inflation, 10 months back then would be 2 years in today's time
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

Not one for pink personally, but that's unique! Extra points for the matching headstock.

It was $1800 and change in 1988. Custom order. All the Jackson's I had tried out the previous year or so, had Kahler's. 1986-87. The Floyd equipped Jackson's had just come out and I had no experience with them. I don't do any acrobatics with the bar. I was used to drooling over Veneman's selection of Jackson's and got used to the look of the Kahler. I still prefer it. I have six import Charvel's with Kahler's. Model Series. I'm a subtle whammy user. Kahler always worked fine for me. Never a problem.

There is nothing wrong with a Kahler. I've had good luck with them and I've been using them since the mid 80's as well

So...back on the locknut issue......is that locknut actually the Kahler variety? Those clearly have "Kahler" marked on the top of them. I can't tell from the pic. I understand Jackson was known to throw those on around '89 or so.
