An FWIW, Les Pauls are some of my favorite guitars, and Jacksons are some of my favorite guitars, but I would NEVER want a Jackson Les Paul.

Actually thats right around the time when Jackson was at one of their least relevant periods versus when they meant something. Which is probably why they were willing to at the time build Jacksonized Les Pauls.

I really really really want a Les Paul/Explorer/Jagstang but I want it to say Jackson on the headstock. And I want it to have the logo of the local carwash/my favourite tobacco company/upholstery foam across the front of it. And now they won't build what I want & I'm stuck choosing from these lame Jackson designs. Or coming up with a new design of my own that doesn't infringe on the intellectual property of others. That was horrible. And I can't remember a Jackson guitar ever sounding worse, that guy must've had no ear for tone whatsoever.

Cool looking Jackson, though. And I bet it would've sounded better & rocked with a better band. LOL
