          No, I thought it was common knowledge. Ask some of the older board members that were watching Jacksons in those years. They would know.

            They were the Bill Lawrence USA pups, not the Bill and Becky version. Here's info on both.

                Yayyy i got the RR1 today only played it for 20 mins.

                I've dated it via the serial to 1995, same year as DonP's whose axe also came with Bill Lawrence pups.

                Pots are like so;

                Neck Vol Bridge Vol Tone

                Only problem so far and im guessing its having all the pups cut, when i turn both pots to zero the axe hums even when i touch the front plate but once the tone pot is turned off all humming dissappears.

                I'll get pics up once im on the pc, but man this guitar is PRACTICALLY BRAND NEW! The horns, headstock BARELY ANY SCRATCHES! I could put this axe in ur lap and you'd believe its 1 yr old not 17!!!

                  Don't touch the plate then! :idea:

                  But I'm not sure that's really a problem. It probably hums because there's still a connection to the jack with the tone pot on until you roll it off.

                  It's also exciting that it's in such great condition. It seems very hard to get a used RR without large the horn smashed. I don't know if people just aren't careful or maybe they aren't anal with their guitars like I am.

                        Nice. To tell what model pickups they are, you'd have to pull them out and see if there's any markings on the bottom.
