Came across a Jackson USA RR that I just had to have. While it does have less... features I guess you could say it makes it no less awesome. In fact it's simplicity makes this guitar look very sharp. Hell they even saved me the trouble of removing the tone knob, because screw the tone knob! You're going to play metal on this thing! This was a great purchase for me. I purchased a DK1 earlier this year because I love the unfinished neck even thought the RR is my favorite body shape. Now I have the best of both worlds. The neck profile is different. It seems to be a little thinner than my DK1 and gives the neck the fell of being way wider than it is
The pickups say Kent Armstrong on the back. I finally got this thing cleaned up and plugged in I found I don't like them very much... but I can deal for now. Might be changing the bridge with a SD TB-4 soon. The trem is the JT-580 LP Takeuchi which had a little bit of wear on the edges but it holds tune way better than my other Takeuchi. There's a couple scuffs on the front and the paint is chipped off on the big horn but the wood is all there. The neck is near perfect on it. Maybe down the road it will get a new paint job from you know who
My camera is terrible so I can only get good shots outside in good sunlight. It's a beautiful day today out so we went outside
