It's going out today even if I have to pay to have it boxed at my own expense. (I drove around for 45 minutes looking for cardboard until my truck started making a fucked up engine noise... apparently poor people are stealing it all to recycle as every store, auto body shop and appliance store that I visited has said some guy comes in the morning takes all the big cardboard).

Why would poor people steal cardboard to recycle it? Do you mean they actually get money for recycling cardboard? Also wouldn't they just use it for a house?

Yes, if you have a full truckload of cardboard you can get $50 or more for it. If you drive around and take it, you can make $20-$40 an hour doing this. I have a poor friend, he knows some of those people that dumpster dive at apartments for plastic bottles and aluminum cans. He says they do that for 6-8 hours a day and make about $20 an hour doing it.
