I did say that I wanted special select wood and they had to source burl and birdseye that is "really fucked up". Hopefully they do it justice.

Wow! Thats a beauty! .
I love the wood sharkfin inlays. They should have done that to the dk2m's. They could have put a really dark wood like, ebony for the sharkfin inlays, over the maple fretboard.Jackson ke3 kelly trans blue

It's going to be a demon... except I want something dinky sized, not full strat sized. I tried ordering one in like 2004 and they messed up so bad I got the option for a rebuild or to cancel. I cancelled.
I might have to copy your sharkfins in burl, but it's basically a 27 fret Demon that is currently spec'd with a blank ebony board:
Here's the rough outline.... it's going to be full walnut burl body, 27" baritone 7 string with OFR7, 5 piece birdseye/ebony 27 fret angled board neck thru, matching burl reverse headstock, black binding over fret ends and an abalone logo with black border, no cs or usa logos:
I don't think a lot of people here like the design, but I don't care because I do.
Oh, and this is a crappy proof of concept type of thing to show kinda what I want the archtop to look like along with the modified body shape. I expect that actual shape that I get to verify during early production will be a lot smoother and well balanced looking.

Thought its fine with a blank fretboard, rather than going with burl sharkfins? Abit of a walnut overdose?? Or perhaps shark-tooth inlays instead?
Not particularly fond of the 'demon' myself, but i reckon the curves will look insane. It's like a dinky version of a warrior!
Meanwhile, better get those piggy banks going!! Hope to see this beaut sooon

Haha, thanks. I fully expect it to look a lot better than my hack diagram.
And yeah, I like blank ebony fretboards, so that's not likely to change. The order has already been approved so my specs are pretty much complete anyways.
And yeah, people might not be fond of the body style, but I'm sure when everyone sees a full burl archtop they'll reconsider that. lolThe 2nd Amendment: America's Original Homeland Defense.

Have always wanted a reverse headstock archtop soloist, and the lack of a floyd / trem on that redwood soloist was almost a deal breaker for me.. but in the end i gave in to that burl top

I like the look. I can't believe that bridge intonation is set correctly, but you never know until you try it. But it looks like string changes would be a pain in the ass.
I'd also want locking tuners because I'm spoiled that way.GTWGITS! - RacerX
