Why is the Custom Shop delivery so bad???

No, I'm saying that a Jackson CS Baby Elephant with 8' schlong and a tattoo of the green lantern on his ass will at current take 24 months
but removing -for instance- a choice in neck width in the general custom shop sheet, will increase the build time for all further guitars by 2 years

I tried to get this quoted, but Jackson wouldn't do it. Chris Holmes had a guitar with a graphic of Christina Aguilera. Jackson stated this would be artist similar....so it's a no go.

Yeah I specced what I would call a very "standard" guitar and was quoted with a price more or less on par with the Jackson CS.

I have four on order. LOL. I'm a year into the first one. Of course, the build hasn't started yet. I figure I have 10 more months to go before the build starts. I'll get the last one sometime in 2015. Pretty ridiculous, but what can you do if you want a Jackson? Supposedly, Jackson has been trying to speed up turn around times, but it's obviously not working.

I came up with a quasi-solution. If you plan on ordering a CS, get a prepaid gift card for however much the down payment is. Register it online with the name "Dave Mustaine". When you order the guitar, tell the dealer your name is Dave Mustaine, which he'll need to use anyway in order to run the gift card. From the dealer side, he'll never know it's a gift card, as it processes just the same as a credit card. He'll submit the order under the name Dave Mustaine. Watch Jackson shit bricks when they get that order. 6 weeks later, you have a new CS.
