Pimpalicious! - New Custom Case Day (...Holding Some Custom Shop Guitars)

So you may recall a prior thread where I had trouble with with the handle on one of the new-style SKB cases. Although SKB made good and shipped me new hardware to replace it, I decided to order a replacement case, anyway. G&G was very cool to deal with, and built me a custom case to order. They have a range of custom cover colors, and insert materials & colors.

So, rather than go with the standard black exterior w/black "monkey fur" interior, I went a little crazy with their custom options. Thought I'd try to do color schemes to go along with the guitar itself, a vintage solar burst custom shop Kelly. ...And, well, this is what happens sometimes, when you spec options from crummy small web pics. Introducing "pimpalicious", the case: orange exterior with black leather binding, and red poodle interior.

My Fender Select Strat case is identical except the orange bits are tweed. Great case but HEAVY. I tend to grab the gigbag option instead because of the weight of the hardcase.

The crushed red velvet interior is sweet, I have in one of my tweed Fender cases too. Those things weigh a ton.

Thanks all. The case color is loud, but it's growing on me. Now that I've had it for a few days, I wouldn't change a thing.

Nice case and I love your Kelly. The Jackson logo is a little different from what I've seen. Is it a really old school logo?

Yes, very old school
