Need some help to Identify...pic heavy

Hello to all. Some of you may know me from different forums...just setting the record straight as I am not looking for a "what is it worth".

I am having a difficult time identifying this Jackson I bought today. It's all original, made in 1991 with a bolt on neck, made in Ontario. The main question I have is does anyone recognize this graphic? And if so, do you know who painted it.

Killer guitar and very happy with it. The pics are in the cleaning stage by the way.

In order to know the painter of the guitar the artist must sign the picture, otherwise you'll never know who did it. For example, Dan Lawrence signed some of the Jackson he painted (not sure if he signed all of them...)

On the other hand I can't seem to get a hold on the model. Obviously by the writing on the neck and body it has to be a Dinky, but I don't think they were part of the standard USA Series by 1991.

The other thing I don't get if are the three pickup switches. No model in the range had them by the time, as they were all fitted with 5 way blade switch.

By the way, I believe the graphic is called Sunset.

Just a Dinky with a Sunset graphic. If you search the forum there was a guy who painted these guitars who now paints skateboards. I think he migh have a website. People were posting pictures of guitars asking him if he remembered painting them.

It's a DK-1 and it will be hard to find out who painted it if it's not signed. As Jackson sometimes used a handful of artists at any given time.

I think the scalloped horn indicates that it is a Fusion - the 'DK1' came later in the 1990s.

Definitely a dinky with a sunset graphic. The serial # would help pinpoint the year, but I used to have this 91 dinky.

Notice the scalloped horn and three pickup switches. They also had the JE1200.

Thanks. I do know it's a Dinky and that is has the JE1200 electronic package. The serial is 0013xx, which according to my research is right in the 1991 time frame from the Ontario, Cali factory.

The graphic really threw me off because I couldn't find any examples of it anywhere.

I guess half the fun is trying to figure these things out sometimes.

Vol, tone, mid boost and 3 kill switches was common fare for Jackson.

I also used to have a fusion with a sunset graphic, but not as nice looking as yours. I only have this old crappy pic...

Nope. Also notice that it doesn't have the JE-1500 mid sweep.

It's just a 90 or 91 dinky not a fusion, here is one I previously owned.
