NOT a DK-1 ... as neilli indicated. In the early 90s USA Production guitars were known as

        USA (Model) or (Model) Custom.

The guitar sounds great but I'm new to the JE1200 thing. I understand it's vol/tone/mid. When I turn the mid, it's there, but not huge. I have no idea if this is normal. There is no hum btw.

The three toggles is taking some time to get use to. Pending the location, one acts as a kill switch. I'm not sure if this is normal, but the electronics look untouched.

Any noob assistance would be great.

I've had three guitars with the JE1200, and I've never noticed a huge difference in sound when adjusting the mid knob. Like you mentioned, I notice it, but it's not a night and day type difference.

Not sure what to tell you on the toggles. Each one should work as an on/off switch for each corresponding pickup (bridge, middle, neck). If no switches are turned on, there is no output from the guitar.

Some find these graphics cheesy, I think they are awesome. You've really brought that thing back to life, well done.

To clarify: it is still a USA Dinky, it's just not a DK-1 - that designation came later. So this would be known as USA Dinky or Dinky Custom.

Just like a pre 1994 Rhoads is not called a RR1
