Convince me that I don't care about a recessed tremolo

I'm the complete opposite of many of you. I greatly prefer non-recessed trems. They feel more like the Gibsons I started out on, and I just plain like the playing position better.

I would also suggest trying one out. Non recessed Floyds are what I prefer, but recessed trems are fine, IMO. You'll probably find that the feel between the two is a little different, but either way is perfectly playable.

Well, I managed to try out a non-recessed tremolo on a Charvel Wildcard. I kinda decided it's enough to warrant getting it CS spec'd. So I'll do that in the next couple of weeks. I know it's a 2 year wait, but hell. May as well go for broke if you're going at all IMO. I may add a pinstripe while I'm there. If I wasn't spending $2500, I might not care too much - in fact I'm still thinking of picking up the Charvel as a snack - but $2500 I care about it a bit more, so there it is.
