Yes and yes! I didn't buy it directly from JC however, it passed through the JCF first.

I've actually got a follow-up to that one on order right now. They won't be doing handprints this time, though. Something different.

When my kids get older, I figure I'll pass on one of these guitars that they've painted to each of them as a family keepsake. In the meantime, I'll enjoy playing the heck out of them.

That is a great idea. Awesome looking guitar to begin with, but that makes it so much cooler.

what paint/clear was used for the handprints?

The white base was done by the custom shop. The handprints and paint splatter were various Auto-Air paint colors - some candies, some sparkles. It's water-based stuff, so worked out great and came off their hands pretty easily. Props to Mike Learn, who gave me paint recommendations at the time. The clearcoat was done by the custom shop, I assume their standard poly finish.

That's a straight-up custom shop guitar that I ordered, bro. No mods and not a PC1, either. I get how it "kinda, sorta" looks like a PC1, but it's actually a custom shop Dinky. Different animal altogether vs. a PC1. Different woods, different tone, different neck profile, no sustainer, clearcoated neck, inlays, etc. Even the finish is different than a PC1 - that's not Solar. It's a cross between Solar and Gibson honey burst. Yes, I spec'd it all that way. It's an absolute kick@ss guitar, Jackson nailed everything on that one.

oh, i know...i remember when you got that. jackson hit that bad boy outta the park. VERY sweet guitar!!!! it was just easier for me to type "modded PC-1" than custom shop dinky
